Before I began doing Kinesis training, I had gained some winter pounds, was very out of shape, and did not exercise or eat right. I also had low back pain and knee pain, which further made me reluctant to exercise for fear of again straining my back. However I was determined to lose the extra weight I had gained and signed on for twice a week Kinesis training. The Kinesis training gave me a full body strength training workout, and over 2 months time I lost 10 pounds and inches from my measurements. The best part is that I feel stronger all over, and have a greater energy level. The exercises also include abdominal work and core strengthening exercises, and (I believe) as a result of this improved core strength, I no longer have had any low back pain, and the knee discomfort is also greatly decreased and infrequent. The class instructors are all wonderful. They learn each participant’s individual capabilities, and are always encouraging and challenging us to individually advance in our level of fitness. I have also found that being in a group class with others to be motivating to me.

I'm not a typical kinesis participant but I am proof that if I can do
it, anyone can. The benefits for me, a 64 year old woman, are
amazing. In a one hour work-up, the program increases my heart rate,
strengthens my core, tightens my abs, works all muscles of my body
and improves my balance. I have several physical deformities related
to polio as well as neuropathy in one foot. Kinesis is challenging
but not impossible. I especially appreciate the improvement in my
balance and the strengthening of my back muscles. MY swimming and
yoga practice are are better coordinated and more enjoyable. The
instructors are essentially personal trainers who are vigilant about
correct form and posture to prevent injuries. The investment in

Since I started Kinesis, I have experienced tremendous results – I have lost 18 pounds and several inches of flab as well as toning up my arms and chest noticeably. The emphasis on the core I believe has contributed to more stability in my back and eliminated frequent visits to the chiropractor. I highly recommend it.

I started doing Kinesis this year because my, so-called, workouts had become pretty lame and I wasn’t challenging myself. Kinesis has been a great addition to my club membership. I can really tell I’ve gotten stronger over the past 6 months and another benefit has been an improved balance. It’s amazing how hard your “core” has to work in some of these exercises. I’m also burning 30% more calories during any given workout. That’s a perk!
My trainer does a great job of mixing up the Kinesis routines and she pushes each and every one of us. She has provided the challenge I was missing on my own. This is a wonderful workout and I would encourage anyone whose workout needs a jumpstart to try it.
